We did the benchmark study among both logistics service providers and clients. That allows comparisons in how far apart the different mindsets are. There appears to be a significant gap between the expectations of clients and to what extent these are met by logistics service providers.

For example, as many as 75% of logistics service providers estimate that customers rate their customer focus as high or very high. The reality is that only 36% of clients perceive their logistics partner’s customer focus as high.

The benchmark study clearly shows that digital transformation in the logistics sector is in many ways still in its infancy. This presents great opportunities for logistics service providers who are now moving up a digital gear.
