How we collect and respect your data
In this Privacy Policy (Policy), Gradient B.V. (Gradient, we, us, our) explains how we collect and use your data, and with whom we share it. This Policy applies to our use of information we collect on or through www.begradient.com (the Website).
What data do we collect?
"Personal Data" means any information relating to an identified or identifiable person; an identifiable person is someone who can be identified, directly or indirectly. We collect the following Personal Data from you:
- Name, address, and place of residence;
- Email address;
- Phone number;
- IP address; and
- Information about your use of the Website.
How we collect your data
Our methods for collecting personal information, carried out by us and our service providers, include:
- Through the Website: We collect Personal Data through the Website, for example when you sign up for a newsletter or fill in a contact form.

How do we use your Personal Data?
We, and our service providers, use your Personal Data for the following purposes:
- Sending newsletters and/or marketing-related materials. To send you marketing-related emails regarding our services and other news about Gradient. We send these messages where you have given your consent, or to the extent we have a legitimate interest in doing so.
- Personalising your experience on the Website. To understand your preferences so that we can tailor the Website to your liking. We personalise your experience on the Website where you have given your consent, or to the extent we have a legitimate interest in doing so.
We also use your Personal Data, to the extent permitted, for other legitimate business purposes, including management analyses, audits, compliance with laws and regulations, Gradient policies, handling complaints and related investigations and communications, and legal and administrative activities. We also use your Personal Data to investigate unlawful activities, to establish or exercise our rights, and to comply with requests from governments and law enforcement authorities.
With whom do we share your Personal Data?
We use and share your Personal Data with the following categories of service providers:
- Hosting: Webflow
- Marketing analytics: Google Analytics
- CRM and marketing automation: HubSpot
- Advertising platforms: LinkedIn, Reddit, DV360
- Lead identification: Leadinfo
We also use and share your Personal Data where necessary or appropriate, particularly where we have a legal obligation or legitimate interest to do so:
- To comply with applicable law. This may include laws outside the country in which you reside.
- To respond to requests from public and government authorities. These may include authorities outside the country in which you reside.
- To cooperate with law enforcement authorities, for example when we receive requests and orders from such authorities.
- For other legal reasons: to enforce our terms and policies, and to protect our rights, privacy, safety or property, and/or those of you or others.
- In connection with a sale or business transaction. We have a legitimate interest in disclosing or transferring your Personal Data to a third party in the event of a reorganisation, merger, sale, joint venture, assignment, transfer or other disposition of all or any portion of our business, assets or stock (including in connection with any bankruptcy or similar proceedings). Such third parties may include, for example, an acquiring entity and its advisors.
How long do we retain your Personal Data?
We retain your Personal Data for as long as necessary or permitted in light of the purposes for which it was collected or is being used (see the section "How do we use your Personal Data?"), unless applicable law requires us to retain your Personal Data for a shorter or longer period.
- Personal Data we use for sending newsletters and/or marketing-related materials is retained until you unsubscribe from the newsletter or marketing materials.
- Personal Data we use for personalising your experience on the Website is retained for twelve (12) months.

If you wish to exercise your right of access, correction or deletion of your Personal Data, if you would like a copy of your Personal Data, wish to exercise your right to data portability, or if you would like to request that we restrict the processing of your Personal Data or wish to object to such processing, you can contact us at info@begradient.com or by post. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
